Springer Controls Company, established in 1996, is a privately held company specializing in industrial electrical control products through distribution and manufacturing. Springer Controls’ focus is on representing high-integrity electrical control manufacturers. We strive to offer high-quality products at fair price levels with superior customer service and support.

History: Robert & Jane Lindberg founded Springer Controls Company in 1996 in Rock Hill, S.C. Springer Controls was named after the Springer Spaniel dog breed, the breed of choice by the Lindberg Family for many years.

As the company started to grow, it became necessary to obtain additional space. In 1998, the company purchased land and built a 15,000 sq ft facility at its present location in Yulee, FL. Yulee is located north of Jacksonville and just outside of Amelia Island, Florida.

Continued growth was a cause for additional expansion. In 2012, Springer Controls added a 10,000 sq ft facility for storage and rental space. Today, Springer Controls continues to offer a complete line of industrial electrical control products. Springer Controls is a UL508A certified panel building shop as well as an ABB distributor. Springer Controls offers technical support along with custom-built controls to satisfy all of your electrical control needs.

1990’s (Getting Started)

Springer Controls Company (SCC) was founded in August 1996 in Rock Hill, S.C.
SCC purchased obsolete product lines from Joslyn Clark to initiate the start-up.
In 1998, SCC moved its operation to a newly built 15,000 sq ft facility in Yulee, FL. SCC continues relationships with the Joslyn Clark independent sales representatives to carry the Springer Controls product line.

2000’s (Growth / Expansion)

Randy Lindberg, son of Robert Lindberg, joined SCC in July of 2000 as Vice President.
SCC launched its first website in late 2000.
In 2001, Springer Controls published its first complete catalog (201).
In 2005, SCC becomes a UL508 certified panel shop, custom-built motor starters entered into the product line.
In August of 2006, SCC celebrated its 10th year anniversary.
In 2008, Springer Controls published its second complete catalog (208).

2010’s (Continuous Improvement)

SCC continued to grow; in 2012 we further expanded and added a 10,000 sq ft facility for storage and rental space.
In August of 2016, SCC celebrated its 20 year anniversary.
SCC entered the E-commerce world in 2017.
In 2017 SCC transitioned to a new ERP system (NetSuite Oracle).
In 2017, Robert Lindberg, original founder of SCC, retired. His son, Randy Lindberg, became President of Springer Controls.
In 2019, ABB purchased GE’s Industrial Products division, and so the transition from GE to ABB began! Springer Controls became an ABB distributor.

20th Anniversary Celebration

2020’s (Continuing the Legacy)

In August of 2021, SCC celebrated its 25th year anniversary.
Jane Lindberg, original co-founder, passed away in January 2022.
In 2023, SCC completed a major renovation of the main entrance and office areas.
In 2023, SCC published its 3rd complete catalog.
SCC launched a new, updated website and E-Commerce platform in July 2025.
SCC is set to celebrate its 30 year anniversary in August 2026.
